I have identified what type treatments and fonts I want to use in the project and have created forms with them. This was definitely my favorite part of the project so far. Although I would like to fix some formations to be more interesting and add "visual onomatopoeia". When working in After Effects I have having trouble midway through with this really intense pixelated blue that happened every time I moved something so you can imagine how annoying that was then moving literally everything. After hopefully fixing this problem I will be able to jump into further styling and transitions!
I think your type treatment is really strong and fits well with the audio. The text fits well together as it fills the space. I think the only thing I would like to see explored further is how you can reemphasize certain phrases. This audio has a lot of really nice moments of repetition, and I think it would be really effective to reintroduce the text when it is said again. Maybe by changing the color of the words as they are re-spoken or animating them to bounce could help show that visually they are being spoken for a second time.
ReplyDeleteThis is a great audio and a great start! I think you could play around with the type treatment more; sometimes throughout the video I did wish that your type was scaled bigger so 1) there is more emphasis on certain phrases and 2) it fills up the screen. Separately, midway through there was the phrase "But you got a set of multidimensional eyes [...]", to make room for the slight pause that your speaker makes, maybe animating "eyes" into looking like a pair of eyes, or having some kind of moving animation might make it more playful if that's slightly what you're going for!
ReplyDeletethe message is really posotive and empowering and i think your colors could do the same thing too. as it is right now it feels a little dull
